Who I Am & Why I’m Sharing This Review

I’m someone who, like you, spent months searching for the best place to get a hair transplant in Turkey. I researched over 20 clinics, joined forums, watched patient journeys, read thousands of reviews, and compared prices, techniques, and results. I eventually had my transplant 9 months ago — and I’m really happy with the outcome.

In this review, I’ll share everything I learned about Dr Cinik’s clinic in Istanbul — why I seriously considered them, what they offer, how they compare to other clinics, and ultimately, why I decided to go elsewhere.

Is Dr Cinik a Good Clinic for Hair Transplants in Turkey?

Yes — Dr Emrah Cinik runs one of the most popular clinics in Istanbul. With over 20 years of experience and a large, modern facility, his clinic has treated over 50,000 patients and has a 4.8/5 rating from more than 6,000+ reviews.

What They Offer:

  • Techniques: FUE, Sapphire FUE, Manual FUE, DHI

  • Add-ons: PRP, laser therapy, exosomes, mesotherapy

  • Packages: All-inclusive pricing (hotel, VIP transfers, PRP, translator, etc.)

  • Pricing: From €2,350 (FUE) to €5,500 (VIP Sapphire FUE)

Their website is professional, slick, and full of impressive before/after galleries and video testimonials. They’ve even opened a follow-up clinic in Harley Street, London for UK patients — a nice bonus for aftercare.

At first glance, I thought: “This could be the one.”

Why I Seriously Considered Dr Cinik

During my research, Dr Cinik stood out for a few reasons:

  • Strong online reputation

  • Thousands of positive reviews

  • Range of transplant techniques

  • Professional-looking facility

  • Familiar name — even celebrities have visited

I reached out to their team, and they were responsive, polite, and quick to offer a quote. They sent photos of the hotel, explained the package clearly, and made the whole process feel smooth.

So why didn’t I go with them?

Why I Didn’t Choose Dr Cinik in the End

After weighing all the options, I realised that while Dr Cinik is undeniably reputable, there were a few key reasons I chose a different clinic.

1. ❌ No Guarantee on Results

Dr Cinik’s clinic does not mention any procedure guarantee.
The clinic I chose offers a full guarantee:

“If the implanted grafts don’t grow, we’ll redo the procedure at no extra cost.”

Even though they rarely need to use this, it gave me peace of mind. Dr Cinik’s site, by contrast, made no such commitment.

2. ❌ No Third-Party Accreditations or Peer-Reviewed Evidence

Despite the claims of quality, I couldn’t find any ISO certifications, medical accreditations, or published studies linked to Dr Cinik or his team.

As someone who values transparency, this raised questions for me. I wanted clinical evidence, not just marketing.

3. ❌ Surgeon Involvement Isn’t Always Guaranteed

Unless you book the €5,500 VIP package, Dr Cinik won’t perform the operation himself.
He may handle planning and design, but extractions and implantations are typically done by technicians.

This is common in Turkey — but I wanted to know exactly who would be handling my grafts. The clinic I chose offered full transparency on this from day one.

4. ❌ “Maximum Grafts” Was Vague

Dr Cinik’s website promises “maximum grafts”, but doesn’t define what that means.
How many is “maximum”? Is it 3,000? 5,000? Based on what?

The clinic I went with was much clearer:

“Up to 5,000 grafts included in the fixed price of €2,850.”

No guessing. No upselling. Just clear, all-in pricing.

What Do Real Patients Say About Dr Cinik?

Dr Cinik reviews on platforms like Trustpilot and Google are mostly positive. Many people praise the results and the smooth organisation. But when I dug deeper on Reddit and hair loss forums, I found a few concerns:

  • Some patients said they only saw Dr Cinik for 2 minutes.

  • Others felt like “just another number.”

  • A few reported inconsistent aftercare or minimal follow-up once they left Turkey.

In contrast, I wanted ongoing contact and regular healing checks, which I did receive from my clinic — including direct WhatsApp access to a medical consultant.

Price Comparison: Dr Cinik vs Other Clinics in Istanbul

ClinicStarting PriceGrafts IncludedGuaranteeSurgeon Involvement
Dr Cinik (Standard FUE)€2,350“Maximum grafts” (not defined)❌ None listed❌ Only for VIP (€5,500)
Dr Cinik (DHI)€3,590Also “maximum”
Dr Cinik (VIP Sapphire FUE)€5,500More surgeon involvement✅ Some planning by Dr Cinik
The Clinic I Chose€2,850Up to 5,000 grafts✅ Regrowth guarantee✅ Transparent process

Even though Dr Cinik’s base pricing looks lower, the lack of clarity around grafts and guarantee made the “cheaper” option feel riskier in the long run.

Aftercare & Support: What You Get with Dr Cinik

  • PRP included in package

  • Medication, shampoo, post-op care tools

  • First hair wash at the clinic

  • A translator assigned during your visit

  • Harley Street PRP support for UK patients

This all sounds great — but again, reviews mention that aftercare can be quite generic. It wasn’t clear how much 1:1 contact or follow-up patients get after leaving Turkey.

The clinic I chose sent weekly check-ins for the first month and monthly after that. I was able to send photos, ask questions, and get real answers. That support made a big difference in my healing journey.

Is Dr Cinik a Scam?

No — Dr Cinik is not a scam.
He is a real, trained doctor who runs a well-established hair transplant clinic. They’ve treated thousands of patients, and many people are happy with their results.

But it’s important to remember: marketing doesn’t tell the full story.
The name “Dr Cinik” is also a brand — and he isn’t involved in every case.

Always ask who will be doing each step of your procedure, what’s included, and whether there’s any guarantee if results don’t meet expectations.

What I Learned from the Process

After 6 months of research and now 9 months post-op, I can confidently say:

✅ Choosing the right clinic is about more than reviews
✅ Guarantees, transparency, and surgeon accountability matter
✅ Don’t be swayed by celebrity names or slick websites
✅ Ask detailed questions, read independent reviews, and trust your gut

And most importantly — get clarity on who’s doing what, how many grafts you’re getting, and what happens if things don’t go to plan.

Final Word: Should You Choose Dr Cinik?

If you want a well-known clinic with modern facilities and solid reviews, Dr Cinik is worth considering.

But for me, I needed more:

  • More clarity

  • More accountability

  • And a guaranteed outcome

That’s why I went elsewhere — and 9 months in, I’m glad I did.
